hi all

I'm trying to make some mockups, but when I import the artworks from illustrator to photoshop the images are all pixelated. I'm usin a mac and so far I have already tryied:

- copy/paste

- alias checked and unchecked

- imported in all formats (as pixel, smart object, path...)

- drag and place

- place embedded and linked

- exported in jpeg, png, pdf, svg

- the image is larger in photoshop

- the resolution is high enough

- copyed vectorized or rasterized images

does anyone have any other ideia I could try?

or know how to solve the problem?

thanks

Ana

it was exported from AI at 300 dpi

You can put a link to the .ai and .psd using a file sharing service such as Creative Cloud or other.

PPI (pixels per inch) are irrelevant unless you are printing.

I change the measurements in both files to pixels. First I drag and drop the AI file to PS, then I scale it and look in the options bar for the percentage. Then I undo, return to Illustrator, and scale the image to the exact proportions before I drag and drop the vector image to PS again.

New in Photoshop 2022 is copy and paste from Illustrator to Photoshop now includes layers. I've only played with it so far, but you might see how that works.

Yep, what @jane-e says. URL link to CC files or Dropbox works. Thanks!

Looks like you need to change the permissions to allow download/edit.

The PSD file is tiny (500px by 500px at 72dpi) so it's definitely going to be pixelated at that resolution.

If I pump up it up to 1200dpi things look smooth and less pixelated.
