is this correct?

I think that Larger files need more time to save...

.. but maybe I'm wrong....

Yes it is correct and also applies when opening files. Compressed files can take longer to open than uncompressed.

No, the description on the screen is correct.

To make a file small it has to be compressed. This is a lot of work, and can take a lot of time. So saving the smallest file typically takes longer. It depends on the size of the file, what is in the file (how hard it is to compress) and the speed of your disk, so these are just typical hints, not rules.
