problem after incorrect tool resizing

Hey there!
Sometimes it happens you're too quick while swapping between tools and accidentally hit the shortcut for the next tool before time: so it happened to me while resizing my brush tool in the quick panel (right click) and accidentally typed "i" to the brush sizing . I got the message it is incorrect but after hitting "OK" the message disappears but then photoshop does not react to any shortcuts, keeps using brush no matter what i press. Tabbing out from photoshop and back seemd to solve the issue. Ever since i experienced it is not only with the brush tool but any given tool while mistakenly setting incorrect value at resizing (eraser etc.)

Could you please post complete screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible?

How exactly were you resizing the Brush?

Try pressing Escape. It sounds like you are accidentally typing into a text box or dialog.
