Hi

The Radeon 5450 GPU was released in 2010, although it meets the system requirement is an extremely old GPU, take a look at the GPU troubleshooting guide here

@Deleted User Traynor,  Thank you.  I've read both of those pages. Although this
card seems to meet the specs, PS doesn't like it. I'm afraid I'll either
do a full system upgrade, or forego any of the newer GPU-intensive
features in PS.  An irritating prospect, as I still pay monthly
subscription fees to keep it current.

Best,

Peter

Hi,

Your screenshot shows an AMD HD5450 which does not meet the system requirements which are for minimum 1.5GB Video RAM and Direct X 12 support. The HD5450 does not support Direct X 12 (only Direct X 11)

Hi Dave,

Thank you.  I missed something important.  The Dell tech who advised me that this card would support DX12, if I downloaded DX 12 from Microsoft.  I think I was misled.  Although my system does support DX 12 (See screenshot), my GPU does not.

I have the same issue. Its frustrating when you buy software and it relys so heavely on specific hardware.

The odd thing is that previous versions did work? Very disapointing. There appears to be no work around. I need to use liquify but cannot for example because of this.
