Question

PS6 unable to deactivate from non working PC. Adobe limitation of installation on 2 PC's

My computer crashed, for good.

I bought a new one and installed PS6. Adobe says it will stop working in 30 days, because I now have it installed on 3 PC's. It wants me to deactivate one of them.  However, as mentioned, one of them quit. I am unable to start it up and deactivate that PS6. To be clear, I only have 2 Working versions (which is allowed) of PS6, and Adobe is going to stop one of them in 30 days. Please help. Thank you. Remember it is impossible for me to start up the old crashed computer to deactivate PS6. I very much appreciate your help.

You do not need to operate on the old PC

Go to your Adobe Account on line

Then go to subscriptions and payment (not sure of the term)

Then go to your activated devices and click on deactivate

@didiermazier I don't think that will work for CS6, I assume that's what the OP is using although he's mentions PS6, as far as I remember you need to deactivate it from the help menu within Photoshop

@WinsorThor you'll need to contact Adobe customer support and ask them to have your activation count reset, when you open the Chat Bot, be sure to type Agent so you get to speak to a human

Thank you very much, everyone, for your replies.

Ultimately, every turn I take there is a roadblock, and today a new one, as follows.

I went to chat, typed Agent, and got this reply: To continue with agent assistance, please sign in with an active plan. I found no record of an active plan linked.

It's probably correct, I do not really have an active plan (but am signed in) as I simply purchased a PS6 CD many years ago for over $600.00

It does everything I need, and much more, and it's offline. It's just perfect for me, I do not want anything else.  (Speaking to Adobe here.)

It then asks if I have another email linked to Adobe, I do not, so it replies: Try or buy plan or apps.

I have attempted many times to discuss this with chat robot, it does not understand.

Of course I do not want an app or to buy a plan.

Again, thanks. sorry to write all that on your site, Ged_Traynor.

Again, thank you everyone.

@WinsorThor you keep mentioning PS6, I can only assume you mean Photoshop CS6 which was released in 2012.

Did you purchased it directly from Adobe and register it with your Adobe account, if so you should see it mentioned in the account you regietered it with.
