Hi
I'm using Photoshop CS6 and Windows 10.
Whenever I try to resize the Photoshop document that I've uploaded to here (because it's 127MB), using the "Image > Image Size" command, I get a message saying "Could not complete the image size command because it's not a valid Photoshop document".
Yet I can open it, edit it and save it without any problems - so it clearly is a valid Photoshop document, although there must be something about it that my version of Photoshop doesn't like. (The document was created by someone else but I need to edit it and then resize it.)
Any idea what could be causing the problem and how I can fix it?
I've tried resetting my preferences file, but that made no difference.
I've also tried creating a new PSD with the image size I want, then dragged all the layers from the problem file to the new file, and then selected all layers and tried to scale them using the Transform command - but I got a message saying it couldn't apply the transformation because it isn't a valid Photoshop document - and Photoshop then crashed!!

PS - if you don't have Sofia Pro and need it in order to reproduce the problem, you can download it free from here

Hi Dave, the file might have been created with third-party tools. Try saving it as a new PSD or TIFF, then reopen it. Sometimes, fixing this feels harder than finding good window cleaning services!

No that makes no difference. Have you looked at the file?

Does the file have features/properties that didn't exist in 2012 when CS6 was made?

I have no idea.

Sorry, I see you successfully resaved the file in CS6, so that can't be it.
Just so we know, what file type and image mode?

It was originally sent me as a Photoshop PDF. I subsequently saved it as a PSD, which you can download from here if you want to try to get to the bottom of the problem. Both the PDF and PSD give the same error message if I try to resize them. (Same if I save either of them as a TIFF, preserving the layers, and then try to resize the TIFF in Photoshop).
As I menitoned in my original post, I also get a similar error message if I drag the layers into a new Photoshop document and then try to scale them using the Transform tool.
RGB colour 8-bits per channel but I don't see how that's relevant.

We have Photoshop CS6 13..0.1.3 on Windows 10 and don't seem to have any trouble using Image>image Size on your file with or without the proper fonts.
Perhaps a reset of the Photoshop CS6 preferences will fix the issue on your end.

I mentioned in my original post that I'd tried resetting my preferences file and it makes no difference. Weird that you're not getting the problem with CS6. So you selected Image > Image size and changed the number of mm? I was trying to resize it to A4. It appeared to be resizing it but then came up with the error message.

Is it just this file, or does Image Size consistently fail on all files?
I see there's a lot of text layers, so if it's only this file, maybe a font issue.
If it's consistent, and you have reset preferences, it sounds like corrupt installation files.

I mentioned in my original post that is just this file.
It's not a font issue - I frequently use Sofia Pro.
Thanks for looking.
