This is the dock clock tower at Middlesbrough in the North East of England. It was built in 1847 and served as both a clock for the dock area and a water tower for the hydraulic dock gates. It only has three clock faces as, reputedly, one dockside business did not want its employees clock watching! In the background is the Tees transporter bridge , but that might be a subject for another day.
Enough of the history. Can you now put the tower to a new use?

I like the Leaning Tower of Middlesburough. Those Geordies will do anything to attract tourists! 😉
Best regards Euan
Blimey Euan. That's unfathomably polite for a bloke from Oz. 😉

Near Chicago, we have the Leaning Tower of Niles:
It was originally built in the 1920s to conceal a water tower. More information about it here.

That looks about as cold as the weather here has been in the last week. It would make a good lighthouse in that scene. 🙂

[EDIT] Hey, I've just realised. We are not to far away from Christmas. 😀 Apparently this was a favourite of Prince Charles, but this is a man that talks to his plants (allegedly).

The problem with Fred is that he comes from too far back for there to be decent images of him, but he was a national treasure.
