Dave is having a well earned rest this week, so for this weeks challenge we have a cone, what can you make with it.
The “rules”:
* Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright etc
* Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert. This is not just for our forum "regulars".
* There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!
* The starter image is made available for you to use in this forum challenge only.
To download the image below at full size, hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).
When posting back your image – please use the blue reply button in this first post. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.
Have fun
Ged

I had one ear bud in my ear and the other hanging loose, while playing that video, and my Chris got up an started looking for the cat she thought was making the noise. That's a true story. 🤣

I made the mistake of checking out some of their other so called tunes, it's pretty awful to say the least, Trevor, thankfully you had the ear bud in, I think your cat, Maisie and Chris would have done a runner if they had to listen to whatever that is 🤣

A first clue: think Mendel, neither Mendelssohn nor Mandelbrot

Happy Independence Day to our friends in America.
Apart from the cone, this is 100% illustrated with Photoshop, (although I did use the Flaming Pear Gliterato plugin for the star field) so please click to expand, or check the full res version here

Jane, I am more surprised that a Scottish person would clasify himself as a Brit! 🙂

Simple, us Scots are the cream on the top of the Brit milk 🙂

I don't know about America, but craft beer is a huge thing here. Before COVID (those were the days 😞 ) we used to eat at a place that claimed to have the best range of craft beers in our county. Unfortunately, I have been unable to drink beer for more than 20 years now, because of the pain meds I take, but they also do the best grub in our town. A cool thing about the pub is that it backs on to a small brewery and there is a window from the pub into the brewery. Up until a few years ago, a company called 8 Wired used the brewery, and I did their photography for them. I didn't take the Grand Cry shot and I don't think I took the Saison Sauvin, but the rest are all mine.

@Trevor.DennisThose are nice looking beers, just my thing.
I like the window into the brewery - can't get fresher than that !
Allow me to tell you a story about my Uncle Harry.
Years ago he owned a small very Scottish hotel near Tomintoul and the distillery.
The bar had beautiful oak panelling and an impressive wooden bar and lots of glass and brass.
On the bar top was an old fashioned brass water spigot for the clientel to add to their whisky
My Uncle, who had a real sense of the absurd, did a Heath Robinson on said spigot and with the use of some tubing, a foot pump for tires and a bottle, engineered the spigot to dispense whisky.
His great love was to wait til he had some American guests and he would delight in convincing them that the whisky was on draft from the distillery just up the road!!

I believe the earlier attempt was riddled with lacks, sorry.
The first clue is still Mendel, neither Mendelssohn nor Mandelbrot.
The second clue is SFTW.

I apologize, Dave (and others).
The heading of this 165th SFTW sent me wandering into the SFTW history and wondering what might litterally happen if this one here and that one there, equally lonely and a good 50 SFTWs apart, were to meet and say: "Conely you" to each other. That led me into something related to (Gregor Johann) Mendel and colourful outcomes. And that again led me to begin with the ending and ask about the unseen part of the beginning.

Jacob, this was the song that was in my head when I came up with the title for the challange
