According to the stone above the door, England's King Charles (the first not the present) stood on this tower, now named Phoenix Tower, in Chester and saw his army defeated. I wonder what it looked like that day in 1645?

The stone changes are what I would call “déformation professionnelle”. For more than 30 years, I corrected broken elements on the photos, fixed paint somewhere and “cleaned” the workshop. And I affixed logos where my colleagues had forgotten them, and I fixed logos, when they were utterly deformed.
