Thanks to all who took part in our last 'Pi' challenge.
This week I was digging around in a components drawer and came across this small potentiometer, which is used to vary voltage, or current, in an electrical circuit. However, I know that your creative imagination can put it to a much wider use. What can you make with it?
The “rules”:
To download the starter image, hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).
When posting back your image — please use the blue reply button in this first post and use the 'Insert Photos' icon at the top of the reply box. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry, then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.
Have fun!
Dave

inspired by the album "Division Bell" from Pink Floyd from 28.th march 1994.

Now that's strange. I was going to say that this had a Pink Floyd look about it, even though it is quite different to the album cover. You are not the only person to be inspired by it Henrik. I found a ton of variations and reworks based on the original. I was going to say that using album covers for inspiration is a good idea, but then remembered I borrowed the Sargent Pepper cover for a recent SFTW thread. I don't even remember which one of Dave's starter images that was based on! It's a bugger getting old! 😞
Anyway, I love this Henrik. The reflections in the head are perfect, as are the shadow it throws. I love that the grain heads overlap the shadow, as they should. So is it Ai generated? If you put it all together then I am seriously impressed.

I like it, Henrik. As Trevor said, the reflections are particularly good.

Nice, I do like the 'Dymo tape' style lettering.

It reminds me of building up circuits on 'breadboards'. I like the arrangement of the border.

Yes! Breadboards FTW! My grandfather used an actual breadboard as a breadboard when he was building his own radio receivers in the 1930s and 40s. He still had it when I was a kid visiting him in the 1950s. He gave me my first triode, in fact.

I don't know why, but I immediatly saw a vintage camera.
This is the Jolleiflex!

JolliFlex. I love it. I've owned a couple of the cheaper Rolleicord, but never a RolleiFlex, and I had a long term loan of a Hassleblad a very long time ago. 500(something) I can't remember the exact model. They took amazing pictures, but I had no regrets leaving the smell and inconvenience of a darkroom when the world moved to digital photography.

Thank you for your comment Trevor!
I really like the square look of the Hassleblad cameras too. It must have been quite something to hold one of these types of cameras in your hands ... What luck to have had that experience!
I understand that going into the darkroom was a moment of revelation (of magic) and an uncomfortable moment.

I love this. An original and very creative use of the starter image, Christelle. It also took me down memory lane. I still regret selling my Mamiya RB67 which weighed a ton but had the superb effect of slowing me down and making me think before pressing the shutter button.

You nailed it!

That's brilliant. Beautifully constructed! My very first camera was an Ilford fold-out 120 roll film camera very much like that. Ah, memories! 😊

I'm sure this one was in a Doctor Series. Not sure if they were called Potleks or Cyberpots.

I was thinking of the Absorbalov. He (it) was only in the one episode, I think, with the 11th Doctor. The only alien in any of the Doctor Who series that had a Yorkshire accent.

Nicely constructed, James. I see you have your trademark red eye in there too. 🙂
