Hi
Most "Do it Yourself" enthusiasts will have a repair job or two lined up for the weekend so I thought we should have one for our challenge. The image below is Dunstanburgh Castle in Northumberland, which made a distant appearance in SFTW Part 1. It could do with a little work though since it was built in 1313 and 1322.
So for this week - can you rebuild the castle? Of course, this being SFTW, there is no limit to what modifications you may choose to incorporate along the way
Anything goes as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright etc.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to have a go - whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert.
There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!
When posting back your edited images please use jpeg and downsize to 1200px on the long side.
To download the image below in jpeg format with ICC color profile (sRGB) and without the forum scaling artefacts , right click and then use Save Image As /Save Target As (or similar depending on your browser).
Have fun!
Dave

Who are these tiny people in the corner, davescm?

I have wondered too, Jane; but they were obviously on the lookout, so I asked them to keep an eye on any newcomers on the path to the the castle, and to keep them from putting their feet into the fresh 3D.
I can see that you let them sit there, too, and wonder whether they have realized what has happened right behind them; hopefully, they have photos of what was before, and more film for what is.

Jacob,
If that is what we call Queen Anne’s Lace — it has other names — then either it is giant Queen Anne’s Lace or fairy-sized people!
Or maybe it’s a perspective thing — the people are further away than they appear?
I did look for Rapunzel in your top window!

Jane,
After a closer look, I believe it may be cow parsnip which normally grows to a foot or two but can reach seven. But the watchful couple do seem tiny.
Rapunzel is busy pulling at her hair to keep up with the speed of 3D printing.

Trevor.Dennis, can you give us a close-up of your hot air balloon bus? I can’t make out the details even when I zoom in.

Jane, this is my working size. Amazingly, I found that as a transparent PNG. A testament to how massive Fortnite has become maybe.
There other angles on the Fortite bus, and at larger pixel sizes
If these are all individual players, then I can see how people would enjoy playing this game. It's a whole different ball game from Doom.
[EDIT] I should have mentioned that the environment was all illustrated in my image, but the sky was a cheat (Eye Candy 7). The two trees are Photoshop > Render Tree. Dave mentioned the lasers, and I'd forgotten how well Screen works for the beams. It gives a nice translucency with enough background showing through to make it interesting.
I still can't believe no one has incorporated the castle into a wee bit of Trump's wall.

That is genius Dave. Right off the Las Vegas Strip. That made me laugh out loud, and I sooooooo wish I'd thought of it.

Agree, Trevor, this is total genius!
And my next thought was remembering how much fun the 2017 Adobe MAX in Las Vegas was and if the Castle Casino could hold 15,000 MAX attendees in 2020?
