Strange behavior mouse after using wacom intuos tablet pen

We have a Wacom Intuos pen tablet, when working under photoshop I regularly have a kind of device conflict, if I have used the pen for a while and then want to continue with the mouse a number of tools under photoshop do weird things, if I restart photoshop then everything works well again, the pen itself never gives problems and the mouse works with all other software just fine, so I suspect it's a problem of photshop itself.

Does anyone have an idea what could cause this?
