i made a spiral path in Photoshop. i want the stroke to gradually get bigger as it goes along. Simulate pressure only does it halfway, then tapers back down. i don't want taperng at  both ends.

Any PSers know how to solve this?

With the Path visible and the PenTool selected, Ctrl click off the path to deselect all points then release the Ctrl key and click on end of the path inside the swirl and you should see Pick-up Path in the History Panel.

Now the stroke should start big from the outside to small in the center.

Disable the Override Pressure button in the tool options bar and see if fade works.

Seems to work here.

Can you post a screenshot showing your brush settings and the spiral?

In the Brush Settings under Shape Dynamics set the Size Jitter Control to Fade.

You'll probably have to enter a relatively high number to get results.

And keep Minimum Diameter at low percent.
