Hi Guys, have been usiing photshop since CS3 but only recently been trying out all it has to offer. Here's my problem...I select a picture of myself or my wife . Select subject. I THEN want to keep the subjects face but change the clothing. Nothing seems to work. The weird thing is that it worked for me in the last build of the Beta 2023.

I'm running an imac 2022 and using Ventura 13.3.1 (a).  Generative fill works fine for changing backgrounds and I've had some success generating backgrounds, but clothing is a joke at the moment.

All I need as I said is to keep a face and change clothing

You want to subtract one portion after selecting object? Isn't that possible using regular Lasso tool or use the Pen tool to create path then right click and choose: Make Selection. In the Make Selection dialogue check Subtract from Selection then click OK.
