Question

The Play Button is Deactivated and somehow cannot be reactivated, while trying to manipulate a video

I am studying my photoshop skills (trying to improve them, because, I am somewhat familiar with this program), and I found out that I can assemble and arrange video clips, images, and audio files for a movie file. The only problem is, that anytime I import a file, the play button (as well as other buttons) on the timeline becomes inactive. This becomes a problem, because, the animation I can only activate is the Frame animation. Any ideas, or words of help, would much be appreciated.

Photoshop is first & foremost a graphics editor, not a video editor.  Although you can take small video and make animated GIF (aka frame animation), PS has limited video capability.

My advice is use the right tools for the job.  For video editing, you'll get better results with Premier Elements, Premier Pro, Premier Rush or After Effects.  Use Photoshop for graphics.

Thank you. Like you just mentioned, I do that(edit videos) most of the times, but a whole chaper of the "Classroom in a Book" (which I am studying as I speak) was dedicated to making a video 'using a photoshop'. I guess what you are saying makes sense, since the buttons ain't working  still, and doubt it will any time soon.
