Hi guys,
I have about 20 or so tifs in a folder and one of them doesn't have a thumbnail preview which is frustrating, but also when I run the image processor script I get an error message saying "I cannot process.....". The only thing I can think of is the file used to be over 2gb with multiple layers. Maybe this caused a problem and even though I have merged some layers and the file is now less than 2gb, maybe it passed on or kept some problem in the file somewhere? Any help would be appreciated. thanks
thanks, ive fixed it. Eventually i started a new document and dragged all the layers into the new document and now it works and is 200mb less in file size, very weird.

Let's gather some basic info first:
OS version
Photoshop version
Are the thumbnails not showing up in Bridge or Finder/Explorer?
What size are your problem tiff files? Are all between 1 and 2 GB?

if the extension is missing in the filename, you will get a blank icon and some programs will not recognize it.
One of my tricks is to open the bad file in Photoshop, do a "non-destructive change", for example clicking a layer "eyeball" off and on.
Then close that file. Photoshop will resave it and you should get a thumbnail.
Let me know if that worked.
Also check your Windows 7 settings:
This could be at the Windows 7 level, so can you look at the answers shown here?
