Trouble with batch Image Rotation

I have created an Action to rotate images CW 90 degrees. However when I tried to create an Action to rotate images CCW 90 degrees, it doesn't work. Does anyone have any suggestion or run across this before?

It only rotates in one direection CW 90 degrees. This is how I recorded the Action

Rotate the canvas (the entire image)

1. Start recording the action.

2. Select Image > Image rotation > 90º Counter Clockwise.

3. Save

4. Stop recording.

Could you please post a screenshot with the fully extended Action in the Actions Panel and the Batch dialog visible?

Edit: I did not ask for a verbal description of the Action but for a screenshot …

Basically you have two options: rotate the canvas (the entire image) or rotate one layer.

I just recorded an action to do these tasks and both worked perfectly. This is how I've done each one of them:

Rotate the canvas (the entire image)

1. Start recording the action.

2. Select Image > Image rotation > 90º Counter Clockwise.

3. Stop recording.

Rotate one layer

1. Select one random layer.

2. Start recording the action.

3. Select Edit > Transform > Rotate 90º Counter Clockwise.

4. Stop recording.

How would you Batch rotate one layer. Which layer would be rotated I would think the action would need to target that layer layer in all documents. Or would any layer do?

That action is bound to fail. A jpeg file only has a Background layer and that layer can not be rotated, the document can be rotated.

Expand your action in the action palette so you can reads what your recorded setting are for each step. If you can not see what is wrong post the action.

This action worked for me I batched it via menu File>Scripts>Image processor.
