Type Tool Keyboard Shortcut (T key) Not Functioning Properly

Recently I've been running into an issue where I want to switch to my Type tool, so I click the "T" key which is the default keyboard shortcut for the Text tool. Everytime I hit the T key, it will switch to the Type tool for a split second then it immediatley switch back to the last tool I was using, no matter how may times I press the T key. I'm able to select the Type tool manually with my mouse/cursor, but for the sake of productivity and workflow, this is not very convenient, especially since I'm acustom to using the shortcut key. 

The amount of bugs Adobe products have now has become very discouraging and time consuming...

    Hi, in Preferences> Tools, disable "Spring loaded tool shortcuts", or change the timing up to 400 miliseconds or more.

        I have the same annoying bug here, even on my Windows desktop and laptop.  Whenever I hit the T shortcut for the Type tool, it is always switched immediately to another tool I use previously. Terribly irritating. 

         

        My desktop is kind of old, Intel Core i7 4th gen, 16GB Ram, GTX 1060 Windows 10, while my laptop comes with recent hardware; Ryzen 9, RTX 3050, 16GB Ram on Windows 11. But both device has the same Photoshop bug. 

         

        This has been happening for quite some time now, I thought it was sorted out after updates, but not happening yet.

        Nave you tried to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps described here: 

        Preferences in Photoshop (adobe.com) 

        Please backup your settings before resetting the preferences. You can check: 

        Migrate presets, actions, and settings (adobe.com) 

         

        you can also take a look which funtion is configured to the key T.

        Goto  to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts.and check the appropriate settings.

        Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere:

        Does it work correctly? 

        If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back. 

         

         

        It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.
