I bought PS6 direct from ADOBE about 11 years ago. When there was the possibility to either buy the application for life, or start adding to the monthly payment plan. I opted to pay the US$999 which gave me the security of having CS6 for life. I move from HD to SSD and I need to install CS6 again, I have all the info: invoice, serial number
I have the email that you sent me with the purchase invoice for 999 US$ to my email, which I had to register again, I think as I don't need to buy or share, Adobe cleaned emails with no activity.
Today I am facing the threat that an adobe application jumps and threatens me to block my Photoshop in 5 days if I do not validate the password I have, but I can not enter it because that ADOBE application tells me that I am not online, which is false.
Please ... This is Urgent !
I paid 999 US$ for CS6 lifetime and I deserve to use it
I can send my SERIAL NUMBER and mail from you ADOBE with the invoice to me
#CS6 #PhotoshopCS6
Hi @Ciro28173318na5w here's something to think about:
You purchased CS6 in 2010 for ~$1,000. You've used it successfully (and hopefully will continute soon) for 13 years, well beyond what an average piece of software runs.
That averages out to be about $76/year in 2010. When you account for inflation that is $120/year today.
The Creative Cloud Photography Plan is only $9.99/mo which is the same cost as what you paid for CS6.
But in return you get the most recent version of Photoshop and free

We can't help you with activation if that is even possible with such an old version. The activation servers may be dead (they certainly are for CS4 and older). Best you can do is contact Adobe directly:

Thanks DIGITALDOG. I am trying right now your link. I found other source inside ADOBE Activation for older products is in Spanish, but say:
Register a product
Enter a serial number to register or upgrade the product, upgrade to a higher plan or qualify for certain types of service plans.
Then I put my CS6 and the answer is
"That Serial is already registered"
If I can contact the INSIDE of ADOBE I might have the answer. Now in despair state of mind I tryed just to copy/paste the CS6 Extended from my HD to my SSD and when I click on the Photoshop App came
"You have first to desactivate to activate again"
[Discussion of illegal activity removed by moderator] Of course will keep trying the legal because I DESERVE TO HAVE THE ACTIVATION FROM ADOBE.[Discussion of illegal activity removed by moderator] I want it EXTENDED, the same I have

oh boy - copying and pasting software is a recipe for disaster. Be patient and contact Adobe support. Also no need to yell at the volunteers on this site or start talking about "cracked" software - its a fast way to get banned and your account flagged.

I understand your point. About the Copy/Paste many times in many cases and many Apps it works. But not in case Adobe. I see the secure very well their Apps. But tell me: Don't you think it is also a disaster ADOBE do not care on their old clients. Man, ... 1.000 US$ for an APP is money in USA and all the Planet. I mean Now! But was maybe double of that 11/12 years ago when I purchased directly from ADOBE. Is more than obvious ADOBE had shown in cases as mine (and I might not be alone) "ZERO" respect and worry about us as GOOD CUSTOMERS we've been. They (ADOBE) even cancelated my account and I had to register with the same mail address I had and have. Of My Account was registered since then (11/12 Years Ago) My purchase had to be in ADOBE records in my account and maybe I could do this EASY. The DESPAIR of a Good Client because a bad managment from ADOBE can't ever be fault of the client. Hope this can be understood. And hope someone here can give me a way to solve this, while I have to "Be Patient" to see when ADOBE will consider to FULFILL THE WORD GIVEN when I bought this application 11/12 years ago. Thanks

We're getting nowhere, spinning our wheels.
You purchased a license to use Photoshop, and that license has restrictions you agreed to when you answered YES to the EULA. The license still works on the existing computer, but for some reason, you're trying to install a very, very old copy on a new machine, or you've activated it too many times, etc. But the bottom line is no one here can help you. This is a user-to-user support forum. No one from Adobe is hearing any rants about old licenses or how much you paid etc. IF you want to activate your very old license, you MUST contact Adobe directly. They may be able to activate this for you, but we cannot. Full stop, end of the story.

Hope not to be that to install again and again and again to have 7 days of functionallity. I bought and, I am sure you too, the CS6 EXTENDED paying 999 US$. I have the CODE and the INVOCE from ADOBE. How can be possible these people do this to us !!!!!!

Hi @Ciro28173318na5w when you contact Adobe via Chat - ask them to reset your activation count.

You may want to take a look and see if this would be a better solution if you can't get CS6 to activate...

Now you are one more ADOBE employee to add to the list of employees who want you to buy again. Not Kevin. ADOBE has an obligation to me and that is to give me the solution so that I can continue to function with PHOTOSHOP CS6 EXTENDED whose promise was that I would have that application to use for life. I paid 999 US$ for it. I have the invoice and serial code.
I came from CHAT and was returned again to the COMMUNITY.
So how do I resolve this
You know there is someone at ADOBE who can give me an answer to this you sent me:
"when you contact Adobe via Chat - ask them to reset your activation count".
Who can I go to directly at ADOBE to get that answer?
It doesn't seem to be complicated, let alone impossible
Do you know?

Im not an Adobe employee thank you. Just giving you options.
When you go to Chat - type "Agent" to get a real person. The only thing they can do for you is reset your activation count. If you ask them for any other assistance regarding CS6 they'll refer you to here.
You should re-read your licensing agreement. Where did you read a "promise" or an "obligation"?
Software is licensed not sold. Once a product reaches the end of the licnese term, support ends.

Bad answer Kevin. When I bought PS6 EXTENDED Adobe gave me 2 ways: (1) To go by the then new monthly payment service (2) To buy the full App for lifetime. Of course, it is of all sense that if Operating Systems advance, Adobe is not obligated to update my Photoshop Extended CS6 to run on newer systems. But that's not the case. And yes, I have not expressed but now I do. I will consider to demand ADOBE about this issue if not properly solved. And I will win that if it is needed, ADOBE have the last word, because this is a very easy thing to solve from ADOBE if they have the right attitude.
And at the end, I had the assistance of TWO real persons from CHAT and their answer is that they have no the skills to solve old ADOBE sofwtware, but ... COMMUNITY.

I disagree with your answer. I too also am using CS6. It suits my needs. I did not go to the subscription for several reasons. 1. I felt and still feel that CS6 was a mature product and the subscription model was a way to keep the money flowing in. 2. I thought, and I was wrong that the $10 per monrh would increase. 3. If I stop paying I lose all of my photos. 4. $10 per month is reasonable if you use Photoshop regularly. If you use it occasionally it becomes relatively expensive.

Here's a product far more powerful and has far more features than Photoshop CS6 (DOB 2011) and no subscription:

@Ciro28173318na5w From other posts it appears there may be an issue with validating with the offline method. I don't have any more details including an ETA or if there is a solution. As @TheDigitalDog mentioned your best course of action is to contact Adobe support directly.

I finally received the support I needed from ADOBE to activate my CS6-E (Photshop and other Apps).
After 3 attempts via CHAT, the assistant ASHWIN JASPER SAHAI is the one who managed to solve my problem by entering remotely into my iMac and operating what was needed to get everything installed properly and working correctly.
It was a road of great anguish and anger. At the end ADOBE did their duty, which was to support me in this installation when it was ADOBE themselves who did two things that caused this problem:
(1) Deactivate my account when in it resided all my purchase information and from it I should have been able to manage to prove my proprietary nature and have direct answer to my problem. I had to open again another account, with the same mail from when in 2012 I bought ADOBE CS6-E, but being a new account, I do not have in ADOBE an immediate reference for the same ADOBE.
(2) Disable in some remote way the App of themselves that serves to give ACTIVATION to the installation of CS6-E.
Exposed this and hurt but finally grateful for the excellent assistance of ASHWIN JASPER SAHAI I want to explain something of me so that they have knowledge that those who buy PHOTOSHOP can be more diverse than perhaps some think:
(A) When I opted to buy for US$999 in 2012 and for life and not for the novelty of a monthly fee,
it is because I analyzed that I would not need more than CS6-E and that I had the money. If I signed up for the monthly plan, there might come a month or year when I could no longer afford it. In 2012 I was 56 years old, now I am 68. I also knew that the iMac I bought in mid 2011 would be my last computer. Hopefully because it seems to me that Apple has not improved and even less with its M1 processor. I have more than I need.
(B) I am not a photographer or retoucher. I don't make money for what I do in Photoshop.
So I measure the efficiency of my purchases in a different light. I use it for my personal stuff. Now I'm a musician so for simple videos of my music and to create covers for my music creation publications, plus to create my own designs for my profiles in networks. In previous years I was Creative Director for Advertising Agencies such as J WALTER THOMPSON, GREY ADVERTISING, KOBS & DRAFT DIRECT WIDE WORLD. It is from there and my passion for being at the forefront of technologies for creativity that I bought the AMIGA from COMODORE who know about this, this brand and computer was before APPLE and Mac in terms of Color Monitor and handle a little design (very rudimentary).
Having said that, I would like to finish by thanking @TheDigitalDog The Digital Dog for his contribution to the forum as well as @Kevin Stohlmeyer Kevin Stohlmeyer. With Kevin I had a bit of an awkward exchange early on, but he gave the path to the solution, which I appreciate. I apologize for my nerves and anger, but they are understandable and if anyone is hesitant about this let them think about if they bought something for 999 US$ forever and suddenly find themselves stranded with no concrete answer, and rather try to steer them into signing up for the monthly payment plan when that is precisely what they didn't want to do for 12 years. Yes, ADOBE has an obligation to respond to its customers, and in the end that's what it did. Good for ADOBE. However, the company should consider the thousands of packages sold to CS6-E customers and considering cases like mine, that we stayed in the past. Allow us to continue working in that past. For example, migrating from HD to SSD is something that does not disturb the functionality of a 2012 PS6-E, so the customer should not be disturbed by needing to reinstall his purchase, as long as it stays within the old systems where it worked and works.
Thank you very much
Ciro Cabrera

Well, that's how you can act if you have a monopoly position.
KEvin's answer is a horrible
Kevin do you own a car or an apartment?
What do you say the seller comes forward to you now, and says it's over, and now they're going to take your car and get out of your apartment?
