Photoshop 24.4.1 - when I move layer or group by keyboard (move by mouse is ok, no issue) I will get this white screens (suddenly)

Hi @LA marketing Go to Photoshop Preferences/Technology Preview and check “Disable Native Canvas”.

Had this issue today, none of the solutions in this thread worked for me. I however found one that did the trick:

  • In your Layers windows, click on your artboard.
  • Change the artboard's background color to transparent instead of white.

Done deal. ✅

    Thanks a lot. the "Older GPU mode"  solves the problem but makes the PS run like a retard. Artboard solution is a great workaround for yet another Adobe "go #$@$@# yourself" solution to the problem they created 🙂

      For thouse who still experiencing this problem:

      Turn off "GPU Compositing" in Preferences > Performance > Advanced Settings (in GPU section). And restart Photoshop.

        This solved it! Thank you so much! Had this problem for months. Interestingly, it only plagued Photoshop on my Windows machine. My MacBook never had this problem, even with the same settings turned on/off.

          The white area when moving a layer or group of objects by keyboard in Photoshop 24.4.1 is a known issue. It is caused by a bug in the Native Canvas feature, which is enabled by default in this version of Photoshop.

          To fix the white area issue, you can disable Native Canvas by following these steps:

          1. Open Photoshop.
          2. Go to Edit > Preferences > Technology Previews.
          3. Uncheck the box next to Disable Native Canvas.
          4. Click OK to save your changes.

          Once you have disabled Native Canvas, you should no longer see the white area when moving layers or groups of objects by keyboard.

          Here are some additional tips for avoiding the white area issue:

          • Avoid moving layers or groups of objects too quickly.
          • If you are moving multiple layers or groups of objects, try moving them one at a time.
          • If you are still experiencing the white area issue, try restarting Photoshop.

          I would also recommend to uninstal photoshop after every update and make a new clean instalation. Solved some problems for me, even the white area issue.

          I've also experienced this issue with the latest Photoshop update (generative fill update), and I must say it's quite a significant problem. In my case, Enabling the older GPU mode does help, but it make PS laggy. This is something quite frustrating.

            Sad to say I just encountered the same problem with the 24.7. It happens so much photoshop is sadly becoming unusable for me. I tried both solutions suggested in this thread but nothing worked. I am sure it's not a GPU problem as I am working on a quite powerful machine. Any suggestions?

              I have the same problem, but "disable native canvas" doesnt solve it.

              @Pavel B.. Go to Photoshop Preferences/Technology Preview and check “Use Older GPU Mode (2016)”. Quit and relaunch PS.
