Why are my fonts so thick ?

Hello,

i'm having trouble figuring out why are my fonts that thick, i suppose it is something quite simple but after half an hour checking everything i can think of, i can't resolve this issue myself, some help would be much appreciated.

The font on the screenshot is Arial regular.

As i was taking the screenshot to answer you i saw an option selected called "faux gras".

Could you please post a screenshot with the Type Tool selected and the Character Panel visible?
