19.1, iMac, Sonoma 14.4.1, Photoshop 25.7:

The scrolling font menu is entirely insufficient. Is it possible to enlarge it?

Hi all,

As @silk-m has discovered, we've made this change and it's available in the Photoshop beta so far.

Now the font browser will size down (or up!) to the vertical edge of the screen.

Thanks for your feedback and patience on this, and this change will also be in an upcoming release version of Photoshop.

There are additional quality of life changes forthcoming, and if you have additional feedback on how we can improve the font browser, please let us know.

Regards,

Pete

I think it's a downgrade that the vertical size is fixed at a short size.
I would like it to be adjustable.

Version 24.7.4 and 25.9

Thanks.

Good because the current font browser is almost unusable!

If i want to try out some type on an image in different fonts the font browser just keeps jumping around and covering up the text so you cant see it. This makes it much much harder to choose a good font.

That change was recently made, but you can't get it back except by reverting the version back in time.

Of all the stupid ignorant user neglected reasoning. Are you kidding? I have to scroll twice as much space now. What dumbass reasoning do they give us?

Is it your monitor? I've increased the size of evertyhing on my MacBook Pro but the interaces still look small. I move them to one of myt external monitors (cheap, not 4K) and things are larger.

I'm using the same display setting I've used for unknown years, 2048 x 1152. The font menus selector in Photoshop have always reached to rthe bottom of my screen, but in the past year impossible. Both the betas and the regular Photoshop release. WHY????? anyone?????

I've recently moved up to a new Sonoma mac and jumped a few versions of photoshop at the same time. My old mac wouldn't update past photshop 20.0.1 , which i should say worked perfectly. My new version of photoshop (25.7 ) has so many annoying new features that is has taken me 2 weeks to get it to a point where I thought i could start comfortably using it again. (Sorry if this is becoming a bit of a rant, I've been using photoshop 8 hours a day since the mid 90's, so I feel I've earned the right) As far back as i can remember the font pull down tab has allowed me to pull it down as far as i wanted. Who the hell thought it would be a good idea to limit how far you can pull it down? As an added new feature, it jumps about when i lift my curser off it and no longer scrolls down if i hold the curser against the bottom edge. 3 new features in one that slow down work flow......... Please somebody point out I'm just being an idiot and I'm missing something obvious.

My pull-down font menu seems to be working.

You can also filter the Typefaces by classification; Star favourites that you want to shortlist and find similar fonts to the one you've selected. You can also personalise your list.

Thanks Derek. That's a screen grab of my problem. Imagine that but 3 times the length, that's what photoshop used to have, far easier to use.

Preferences > Interface > UI Font Size might be beneficial. Have you given that a try?

I trashed the adobe preference file Adobe told me to trash, but the window is still tiny. What the heck have I done to never get back a useable font picker window?
