Each time I open PS the layers, channels, paths channels do not appear and I have to reset my workspace everytime I open PS. Has anyone else seen this happen? and how do you correct it?

What happens when you double click on the word Layers in the Layers panel, does that make the layers and icons visible?

That is what I have been doing or either resetting the work space. When I click on layers the thumbnails appear but I have never had to do that before.

Your Swatches panel seems to be stretched to the botom of the screen. If you pull it back up your Layers, Channels and Paths will appear again!

OK, I moved my swatches panel to a differnt location and now the layers, channels, and Paths appear but no ICON of my photo until I reset the workspace see attached.

I saved it again under another name, smae problem. I still have to reset the workspce. I thought the layers panel was not there but I have noticed the layers, channels, and path panels are all the way at the bottom of the screen. You can't see any icons only the names of the panels.

Maybe you already did this, but you have to save your custom workspace with Window > Workspace > New Workspace

Yes, I have been using this work space for several years now, saved it several years ago

Saving it again is worth a try,  I guess. Or installing the latest version of Photoshop, if you have not done so yet.
