Every time Photoshop updates to a new version, I need to copy my scripts to the new version's scripts directory. Ideally, Photoshop would also check some other locations on the filesystem where user scripts might be located. For example, it could also check $HOME\Abobe\Photoshop\Scripts where $HOME is the user's home directory on their operating system and load scripts found their to the File  -> Scripts menu.

My user scripts are on another drive.

In order for Photoshop to get access to them, it is enough to create a folder shortcut and place it in Presets\Scripts (I prefer to use symbolic links, not just shortcuts). If desired, you can automate this process using the operating system.
