This forum is for questions about Photoshop. It is not for developers to pitch to Adobe. You might want to look into developing and marketing a plugin.
If the response is that ‘Adobe does not offer any scheme which would allow you to propose a new processing method for evaluation. Your only possible path forward is to develop a plugin yourself.’ Then, it would be helpful for the community if you could give both parts of the reply and not just the second part.
I am sorry if the link I provided was inappropriate but I thought it was necessary in order to show that I was a serious developer and not asking a flippant question.
For your information, some time back I had an email interchange with Russell Preston Brown asking a similar question to one I asked here.
I got the following reply
Terry,
This is a good question.
Let me send your email off to some people on the Photoshop team.
Sorry that I did not have an answer.
Sincerely,
Russell Brown
I was copied into an email which read
Adam, and Jerry,
Any advice on this one?
Russell
I didn’t get a reply. Even after I sent a follow up prompt.
It would be helpful if the Company could give a direct answer to this question rather than an implied answer.
I note the response "You might want to look into developing and marketing a plugin."
I have been intermittently working on the development of a plugin and have invested a significant number of man hours. However, I now have the issue that my prototype plugin which ran on Photoshop 2024 crashes out on Photoshop 2025 and to date Adobe have been unresponsive to this issue.
Can Adobe please offer me some way forward. To give some context here. I am one of the developers of a web app which has had over 40,000 hits and which comes up top if you type "Image Color Transfer" into Google. I am trying to port a variant of this method onto Photoshop and additionally an entirely new and original method of color tranfer.
