Nowhere does Adobe guarantee that more votes will, at any time in the future, make this request into a real feature. But it will get the team to examine and take the request more seriously. 

at the same time one of my requests which had just 5 votes was implemented in less than a year

Hey, Adobe, you are always trying to improve the auto masking, why not to make this super easy improvement? it's not even under review yet?!
