Decontaminate colors option as a clipped layer

In advanced Photoshop tutorials on hair masking the problem of the edge color is solved manually outside the Select & mask window by adding a clipped blank layer and painting on it with a darker color. Why can't you implement this into the "Decontaminate colors" option?

Now it just ruins the image layer (destructive workflow), therefore we can't adjust its mask later.

Hey, Adobe, you are always trying to improve the auto masking, why not to make this super easy improvement? it's not even under review yet?!

the votes actually don't mean so much (though the more - the better)

we see many topics with dozens (even hundreds) of votes and 0 result

at the same time one of my requests which had just 5 votes was implemented in less than a year 🙂

I don't make the rules. I can only attempt to explain them to you .

https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-ideas/how-do-i-write-a-feature-request/idi-p/1238...

"When creating an Idea or Feature Request thread, please keep requests for features to ONE request per thread. Doing this will allow others to vote on the single, specific feature and not confuse Upvotes amongst a list of feature requests".

Nowhere does Adobe guarantee that more votes will, at any time in the future, make this request into a real feature. But it will get the team to examine and take the request more seriously.

Thank you for understanding the above facts and explanation in this one case.
