I would like to suggest an enhancement to the Sponge tool in Photoshop. It would be incredibly useful if the Sponge tool could be updated to allow the ability to saturate or desaturate a specified color range, similar to the Hue/Saturation adjustment panel.
Currently, the Hue/Saturation panel allows users to select specific color ranges such as Reds, Yellows, Greens, Cyans, Blues, and Magentas, and then adjust the saturation. This functionality is very powerful and precise.
I propose that the Sponge tool includes a similar feature where users can choose a color range (e.g., Reds, Yellows, Greens, Cyans, Blues, and Magentas) and then use the Sponge tool to selectively saturate or desaturate those colors within an image. This would provide users with more control and precision when editing photos, especially in situations where specific colors need to be targeted without affecting the entire image.
Thank you for considering this feature request.
