P: Bring back "Shake Reduction" filter - Removed in Photoshop v.23.3.0

Gordon

I rely on the shake reduction filter a lot for my motor sport work flow. I want it back! It worked brilliantly. Well I quess I will have to check my other software options. Cam I go back to a previous version of photoshop?

This just started today.  I have downloaded a graphic card driver, checked for updates, and nothing is working.  In the first screenshot, I took a screenshot of my desktop, and it shows as blank on the actual file, but shows in the navigator.  This happens about half the time; the other half, the screenshot that I paste in shows in the file, but is very badly pixellated.    The paintbrush tool seems to work fine, but just to test things I tried an arrow shape, which again, does not display correctly in the file, but is semi-normal in the navigator window.

In the second screenshot, I opened a photo file, and again used an arrow shape which does not display correctly on the file, but looks okay in the navigator, but badly pixellated.

Third screenshot is when I try to add a type layer.

No idea what else to try after making sure the video card drivers were current and checking for Adobe updates.   Anyone seen this issue before?

Found the solution.  Preferences > Performance > GPU Settings >Advanced and unchecking GPU Compositing.

what kind of excuse is that! "Shake reduction has been removed because it is incompatable with the new version of Photoshop!???" Can't you geniuses make it work! I used Shake reduction in alot of my work in Photography!" Leave it to Adobe to put something in photoshop just long enough for people to depend on it and then remove it! I am getting tired of Adobe's way of doing everything! Pulling money out of everyones pockest every month also! I would rather pay once and to hell with all the Updates. If I want to upgrade then I could make that decision for myself. And by the way Photoshop 23.3 is really glichy and janky! Maybe Elon Musk will by Adobe and unlock it's potential!

Weitere Infos hier: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/reduce-camera-shake-induced-blurring.html

Can the shake reduction filter please be brought back to Photoshop. Shake Reduction was a stand out feature of photoshop and allowed me to save many photos from the bin.

Adobe explained why they removed it. It's not coming back, so I suggest you look for alternative software if you need this feature so badly.

Adobe just prompted me about 30 mins ago to update to v23.3. After updating I noticed that the Shake Reduction filter under Sharpen Filter list is missing. (refer to screen shot below)

Could you please check why update v 23.3 removed the filter.

Ridiculous....
It was one of the best filter in PS.

Now what is the alternative?

I wanted to sharpen a scan of an old carbon copy of a 1943 letter. In the past I have found the best way to do this is to use the Sharpen Filter for Camera Shake Reduction. To my astonishment, this very useful filter seems to have vanished. Has it been moved elsewhere. I hope so, since as I am keen on low light handheld photography, it is a filter I use quite a lot. See below screen grab showing no shake reduction filter present.

Any suggestions on new location of this filter or has it become part of another tool?

Wilson

Adobe, please bring back shake reduction. It was a really neat feature to have access to. And the results were like magic.
