Redemption Code Error for Elements 13

Hi... I have a  problem when trying to retrieve a serial number for a new/sealed/unused copy of elements 13. after:

https://redeem.licenses.adobe.com/getserial

I get:

Oops! This code doesn't seem to be active. Please contact the retailer you purchased the card from, or use a different code. For more information contact Customer Support and order by phone

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    I have the same problem with elements 13.  I bought a copy of this software from an eBay vendor.  The vendor stated that I may need to contact Adobe in order to redeem the serial number and activate the software. 

    Could someone at Adobe reply to this forum question?

    Although on occasion an Adobe employee may visit here, this is a user to user forum.

    I am not an Adobe employee.

    Did the seller say it was new or used?

    Hi,

    I tried going to transfer an Adobe License and it didn't work out.  I couldn't get a case no. from the Transfer License page.  So I chatted with an Adobe agent and got a serial number to install the app.

    Thanks for your help on this matter.

    Where did you purchase it from?

    You will have to contact the seller.

    It could be counterfeit.

    I would return it to Walmart.

    It is possible that Walmart did not activate it properly at the time you purchased it.


    it's way past the return date. I bought it last year before Christmas and am just getting around to installing it.

    why won't Adobe give me a serial # for a legit copy that I bought? I've read online that others have experienced the same run around.
