As they start shipping this camera today (and I had one on pre-order) I hope Photoshop will be able to handle the RAW files. Can anyone confirm that this is the case and if not how long will it take before we receive the update?

It is available for PS and CC, if you can't update through PS, use the link further down on the link that I provided for the manual install.

On a bit of related news Capture One software has just released an update for RAW files from the 5dsMK4.

For me this is v exciting as this is certainly my preferred RAW file editing and converting software!

I do not see where you can access the new “Dual RAW ” features in Photoshop or Lightroom.

    Anyone find this yet?

I don't think there's anything specifically in LR yet for Dual RAW. Someone on another forum said you can at least import and edit Dual RAW files like a normal RAW file which is a starter.

My guess is people were hammering Adobe about supporting the 5D IV so they went ahead and released an update for camera support and we may in the future get some more features for playing around with Dual Pixel RAW files.

An early beta is in the field now - but not available to the general populace.

Yep I even tried updating the exif to fool LR into thinking it was a mark III file. It worked for Nikon files when the d750 came out but hasn't worked for canon which makes me thing the raws are a little more intricate.

They better get the update out soon cos I've weddings to deliver!

I hope Adobe gets this out fast. I've shot 3 weddings already with the mark IV and its performed beautifully but would love to be able to edit some files. The canon software is a absolute mare of an app. Its slow and cumbersome horrible!

Agree with you about DPP. Slow and cumbersome on my iMac. have been shooting with the 5DMkIV for three days now and am desperate for  the Adobe RAw processor. Come on, Adobe. Hurry Up!!!!

Surprisingly no Adobe rep. has dropped in on this thread yet....

That'd be because they have nothing to say...Anything they know is NDA until release or shortly before.

When I got my 7dii, it took them almost a month. Then I got the 1 DX Mark ii last spring and it was supported immediately.

Adobe needs to be prompt with a major camera like this.
