Hey guys,

I know this may be simple but I can't seem to figure out an easy way to create a background for a website that two tones at an angle.

Thanks,

Use the Rectangular Shape tool to make a box with a fill but no stroke. With the Pen tool, click on the middle of the top edge of the Shape. You will see the Pen cursor change to have a little plus sign by it, and a new control point will be added. Now Alt+Click on this point with the Pen tool to convert it to a Corner Point. Finally, hold the Control key to change the Pen to the Direct Selection tool, and drag this point downward.

It worked but now I'm getting this semicircle

    instead of an angle.

Looks like you're using a Mac? Where I said "Alt+Click", substitute "Option+Click". You should see the Pen cursor change to an angle. Here's a look at the Pen cursors - note the one at the lower right:PenTool-Cheatsheet.jpg

Hi. Can you please be a bit more specific? Do you mean you'd like a gradient of color from one to another to fill the background of a web page? Or, do you mean you'd like a hard split on the color? Can you link to an example of what you mean to ask?
