Elements Premier 2021 Video Issue when Adding Media to Timeline

Hello All, have just installed a new license of 2021 and on adding a video file to the timeline, see these streaks running horizontally (see attached screenshot). The software is installed on a DELL XPS 15 9500 and have updated all relevant video drivers just in case its a driver incompatibility issue. However, that has not helped.

Earlier had installed the 2020 trial copy and had no such issues at all. So its limited to 2021 version alone.

Please help! Thanks.

Do not count on Windows to be fully up to date when it comes to device drivers
Go to the vendor site to be sure you have an updated driver for your graphic adapter
•nVidia Driver Downloads http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
•ATI Driver https://www.amd.com/en/support

There are also intermittent reports that the newest driver is not always the best driver due to driver bugs or compatibility issues, so you MAY need to try an earlier driver version

Thanks John, did update the latest Nivida GPU (GeForce GTX 1650 Ti) drivers although that did not make any difference; next on deck is to update the Intel Next step is to update the Intel UHD Graphics 630. Don't have much expectations but will try out earlier versions although do hope that Adobe patches it up since the issue appears to be limited to the 2021 edition of Elements Premier only; 2020 works just fine.

All the best.

QM55,

You may want to access Adobe tech through an online chat.  They can remotely trouble shoot you drivers.   There can be cases where the drivers were enhanced for something like a specific video game that is newer than a video editor.  Rolling back to an older driver usually fixes the problem.  To get help from Adobe techs, pick Online Support from the Help menu.
