Does anyone else have this issue and know the solution please?
I have a GoPro Hero 9 Black. I record 4k 60fps. I have the .hevc codec installed on my windows 10 64bit pc and on about 75% of occasions the files import into Premiere Elements 2020 no problem, but on others I get an error saying I need the codec - they are exactly the same file type as those that worked. It's a whole batch that will fail, not just one or two. Sometimes I change the battery and set to record again. The first batch will import, the 2nd won't. Everything is identical.
These files open absolutely fine in every other program that can view video on my pc.
It's hugely frustrating to have to convert before I can use.
