I have element 2018, suddenly I am unable to get audio on the same clips that worked fine this morning. I checked audio hardware. what else could be wrong?

What do you mean when you say you checked audio hardware?

Do you mean you went to the program's preferences on the Audio Hardware page and reset the output and input settings?

not. The entire video worked well before.
