Every year Adobe releases an update of Premiere Elements and I feel there is no improvement in terms of performance. Like many Adobe Products (e.g. Acrobat Pro DC), Premiere Elements' performance also decrease.
This is my machine -

This is a file's property -
Take a look at this timeline
So 2 files like that is on the timeline and I just applied 1 step of exposure to both of them. When I Turn off Video Track 2, it can play the video. But when I turn on Track 2, it barely able to play the video smoothly. To be honest it is really really bad.
Not sure what is wrong with Adobe team, but when other application releases any update, they basically improves performance dramatically. Unfortunately I do not see that here. I paid for removing some effects and basic UI changes! Seriously!!
Is there anyone who reads and take these seriously?
More on my workstation -

Adobe might be reading this forum, but hardly ever respond. Which I find quite disappointing.
And yes, several effects have been removed. I find artistic effects not really a great addition to the program.
If you are not happy, ask for your money back and stick to the older version you already have.

@Ann Bens I found you very active in this forum and some of your suggestion really helped me in the past.
The reason we update the app is the get better performance and features. 2 products from Adobe are really behind in terms of performance, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Premiere Elements. Acrobat may have added features in the past but PRE did not. The effort they have put to improve performance by utilising hardware support, have decreased performance version over version.
Members from Adobe team, like Gaurav, Ajay have reached out to me in the past for testing hardware functionalities. This is another reason I submit the complain here to keep a document. Also people who are willing to invest their money and time in this app, may learn and make decision.
Finally, Adobe needs a new team for this app and re-write the whole code. Putting band-aid over a problem is not a solution.
Thanks again for your response.

Performance: I don't see any difference between previous version
As for features: more have been removed than added. Not impressed with Artistic effect.
