properly uninstalling and reinstalling Premiere Elements 2023

I think I have a corrupted text 'family' that's listed in the Text section.

Via a chat with an Adobe staff member, last week, he said I need to uninstall and reinstall the program, but I've also been told that there's a particular way Adobe Premiere Elements needs to be uninstall and reinstalled. Is that true?

Here's a link that has screen shots of the issues I'm having. If there's a better way to fix just this problem please share! I'd love to be able to fix just this little text 'family' instead of uninstalling and reinstalling the entire program. (I have Adobe Premiere Elements Pro 2023, propetual license.)

thanks in advance for any help!

Could it be as simple as I'm a dumby and not using this family of texts correctly? Does your's look like my screen shots that I posted in my previous post?

Happy Update! An agent (after working with 3 agents) finally remoted into my computer to experience what was happening. That agent sent me to his/her supervisor who then also helped. They had to rename all the Adobe folders to <Adobe.OLD> then and only then did the reinstall FULLY reinstall. Just a 'windows' uninstall and reinstall wasn't truly removing all of the program. Everything works now! YAY!!!!

The agent may have been referring to the Cleaner Tool:

See here for Premiere Elements specific help with the Tool:

I would just try an uninstall and reinstall with your operating system before using the Cleaner Tool and see if that works.

Well everybody. Bad news. 😞 I uninstalled and reinstalled Elements but that family of Titles still doesn't work.

Any other ideas? (I have screen shots above.)

I have no idea what a "particular way Adobe Premiere Elements needs to be uninstall and reinstalled" might be.  The usual way is to use the operating system to uninstall and then rerun the installation file.

What happens if you delete the title from the time line and try using it again.  Which title is it?  I would like to try using it to see what happens.

It's under Titles > Formal > General. When you see it, Look for the ones with a gray background with a teal text box.
