Contacted support and eventually contactd "Abdul" who gave instructions of how to rotate the image. However when I try to open the video file I get the file using the organiser function and can play the file, however NO editor option is available to edit the file and rotate and save the image. The "Loading adobe Premiere elements editor workspace" image appears but eventually closes without any options appearing.
The option available to edit the image in the menu aso does the same thing.
If the support person Adbdul is available could you give me any other options. My operating system is Windows 11 and I can rotate the image using "media player" and using the video settings to rotate the image but there is no save function. I have little experience using this software and any assistance would be appreciated.
...I have just watched the first series. The video shows how to open the premiere elements hub, the gives details of the organiser, photo editor and Video editor. With the video editor it shows when you select this option a screen then appears and you then select the video you wish to edit. However my program just indicated "opening elements video efiting workspace" and then disappears after about 15 seconds. Is my downloaded version perhaps corrupt, and needs to be reinstalled.

What model of camcorder is your video coming from?
Open your video in the free download MediaInfo. In MediaInfo, set View to Text and the copy the entire text of this report and paste it to this forum. With this added information we'll better be able to advise you how to proceed.

That's not really enough information to work with.
Can you provide us the MediaInfo report we've asked for?

As I'm sure you know, video editing software is unlike anything else. It is normally confusing at the beginning. This video series is short and efficient. It should make both Premiere Elements and video editing make sense.

Steve. Thanks for your help. I have now solved my problem. It appears the original app I installed was corrupt and as advised I deleted the app and reinstalled it. This made the editing process work as per the Utube videos.
Thanks again for your help.

""opening elements video efiting workspace" and then disappears after about 15 seconds."
That's not normal. If it were me, I would uninstall and reinstall.
