Text layers not showing on program monitor

Make a new layer of text but can only see the red bounding box. There are no characters on screen but the text shows in the graphics panel.

I just went to test something in new Premiere Pro Beta 24.6.0.021 and discovered this. No Graphic Text is showing in Program Monitor. Shows in Test Editor OK not on monitor.

Essential Graphics changed to Graphic Templates.

Browse and edit button are missing.

No EDIT window, guessing that is now the EGP

Its just the text, shapes are ok,

No aligning?

Omg. Beta 24.6.0.21

As you say Ann; very strange.

The Captions and Graphics Workspace now has only a "Graphics templates" tab. No Essential Graphics Panel to be found.

If you open the "Properties" Window, you get what looks like the EGP with some serious reorganization.

And I get the symptom described by Grant, typing with the Text Tool shows the bounding box but no text.

I see no Opacity setting under the Vector in the Effect Controls.

I say give them a build or 2 and I hope will all come together again....

@Stan Jones Opacity is under Video > Motion just as in 24.4.1

Looks like Adobe dropped the ability to edit text in two different places.

I was asked by Adobe Product Support team to try out Beta 26.6.0.021 to deteremine if 'Use Previews' box ticked in Media Export now worked. Apparently they claim the fix is in this - but the text layer made me think I had a major issue on my Windows11 install .

Stan /Ann - I haven't used Beta releases much but I find it concerning (for even a beta release) a glaring problem like no text layers visible would slip past any basic QA procedures?.

Are there any QA procedures on Beta Releases in fact - or do they come straight off a software dev coder's machine?

Well, we found one: text not visible.

Hope this is fixed soon.

I mostly use the beta especially Adobe fixed the lagging playback (at least for me)

If I am stuck, i can revert to 24.4.1

Beta - depends on where you draw the SW quality threshold line. In my development days I would have called this an Alpha release.

Anyway, that's me just 'splitting hairs' - agree, hope its fixed soon.

Steps to reproduce:
    1. I'm writing a text
 
Result: there is text, I can select it but it is not displayed
Expected: text must be displayed

    Application: Premiere Pro (Beta) v24.6.0.21

Corner radius on SHAPES dont work in the Program monitor.

Need to zoom in significant to grab the node

No way to set in the ECP.

Align is now in drop down menu: miss the buttons

Why give us buttons and the drop them from the program.

Also no way to read height and width of a shape.

How to easily center an object?

I like the new Scale setup (scale turning into vertical when uniform scale is turned off)

Hi everyone, thanks for reporting, we can repro the text rendering issue in 24.6.0x21 and have reverted the changes.

Upgrading to x23 will fix the issue.

Thanks but I don't have the 22 update available yet. I had to open the project on the official release (where I can no longer edit because it became super laggy) and export the video there (since the text does show up in that version).

I see the same issue with the new Graphics Templates panel and I have another one:
95% of my MOGRTs are gone. It seems I would need to once again add each individual folder that I have organized all my MOGRTs or even worse, install them one by one.

Build 23 fixed it. Thanks. Sadly all my MOGRTs are still gone. I have to import again all my folders one by one. I hope in a future update we can just select a main folder and import all the MOGRTs file found in the sub folders.
