Audio Disappearing?

I've had this happen to me twice now. Audio tracks are completely disapearing/being deleted from my timeline. I don't just mean I can hear the audio and not see it, I mean like completely disapearing entirely.

It can't be a saving issue because I have saved, closed, and reopened with these audios still attatched and well.

It also can't be an issue with me moving audio files because I haven't moved them.

This is incredibly annoying to work with and almost impossible to add audio to my project when it just keeps getting randomly deleted.

please help!!

Hi @kaelyn_4340

If you choose Premiere Pro > About Premiere Pro, what is the exact version you are using?  There are several different 2025 releases, so it's important to know the exact one.

You can find where your auto-saves are going by checking the Preferences > Auto Save and seeing where you have the path set to.

It would also be helpful to get some more information on your system and file formats.

Hello there!! I am using Adobe Premiere Pro 2025. When I say the audio tracks are disapearing, I mean both the audio itself and on the timeline. Its like it's been completely deleted but I did nothing to delete it. I haven't checked any autosaved files, though. How would I do that?

Hi @kaelyn_4340

Thanks for the message.  Welcome to the Forums.  I'm sorry to hear you're having audio issues.  When you say the tracks are disappearing, do you mean the audio track on the timeline or the audio itself?  Have you checked any auto-save files to see if they are also "missing" the audio?  Which version of Premiere are you using?  We need a few more details to try to help with the issue. Please see:

How do I write a bug report?  Sorry for the frustration, and thanks for reaching out.
