Text entries into custom metadata fields are recorded in history as "set property", however the undo function does not actually undo (or otherwise affect) the data.

Hello @Remote Index,

I could not reproduce the issue, however, maybe I am not understanding it well enough. Sorry about that.

Are you still seeing the problem? If so, Could you provide more info about it (like a screenshot?) That would be appreciated! The team prefers this format:  How do I write a bug report?

Thanks,
Kevin

Kevin, thanks for follow up.

Adobe Premiere Pro 23.2.0 (Build 69)
macOS v13.6.4

SET-UP

right click on browser headings
Metadata Display … brings up dialog
“Add Property” (in Premiere Pro Project Metadata)
Name and choose type “text” (I haven’t tried other types … but you should).

THEN (back in the browser panel/window)

Enter some text in this field (you should be able to do so for folders, clips, or sequences)
You will see in the History panel that a “set property” action has been added
command Z and you will see the history indication ‘rolls back’ one step … but the text is not deleted or otherwise changed
… further the investigation with variations on this.

BONUS ROUND
Why doesn’t Adobe give me a cursor when I’m entering text? This seems like a basic interface requirement ...
