I have a Macbook PRO 2019

Since i updated its macOS VENTURA i am having big crash problems since 4 weeks ago.
Every time I work on my video projects with Adobe Premiere 2023, after several minutes while I'm working.
Only happens since I updated to macOS Ventura last version and only with AdobePremiere program.

After several minutes working on my project, laptop gets totally froozen not letting me do anything and after 1minute aprox. you can hear the fan and laptop crashes completely.

Is this happening to anyone else with similar laptop-programme version?

My Macbook Pro 2019 running Ventura 13.2.1 keeps crashing when tryingi to export a simple 1 hour video in Premiere Pro 23.2, to 1080p, using H.264 with hardware encoding turned off (or on).  Any chance of this getting fixed any time soon?  Should I switch to Final Cut Pro?   Trying to turn back my MacOS version seems like a bad solution to me.  Any other solutions?

thanks,

Chris

Thanks for the info, Tomas. I think the developers will want more details. You can use the following template: How do I write a bug report?

I'm having the same problem. I've tried uninstall/resinstall and it's not helping.

Yep. Same here mostly when rendering a timeline and sometimes when exporting in Media Encoder.

Same to me. I think its not a problem from Adobe Premier PRO last version is more about MacOS VENTURA last update that creates a problem between laptop and the App. Just tried to work with last version of Premier in a Macbook PRO with a older version of MacOS (just the one before Ventura) and dind't give any problem.

Lets si if there's any new update for MacOS soon

Tomas,

You may want to check Adobe Folder Permissions. Going back to OS X 10.9, this has been necessary to check. Set every folder Premiere Pro touches to R/W (In the Get Info dialog box via CMD + I) and use the drop-down menu to do that to all enclosed folders. Avoid updating major projects if you can. Try and get those done before committing to an OS update. Let me know if you need help.

Thanks,
Kevin

Same here, and it's showing up on both Premiere and After Effects on a MBP with OS Ventura and the latest Premiere and AE versions. My collegues, who hasn't updated to Ventura yet, don't experience this issue - so I think it's related to the OS more than to Adobe. Hope this will be addressed shortly because it's getting harder and harder working this way.

Same with me. Making it infuriating to try to edit. Anyone found a solution? I've noticed it is happening for me specially when dealing with captions.

To me it's happening especially when dragging clips around. Can't tell you
how convenient it is editing without dragging...!

The only solution I found was to go back to Monterey. It is an OS issue from Apple.

Similar issue, except on my Imac. It first happend when I up-date to Premiere 2023. I got the "pending file" message instead of the clip. I couldn't playback anything.

I found that if I started a new project then everything was fine. So I had to re-cut all of my projects, but today I updated to the Ventura operating system and the same thing all over again.

If I create a new project, the everything works, but I'm getting really sick of having to re-cut all my projects everytime there is an update.

I don't think this is an Apple only issue.

I'm getting really close to switching to DaVinci.

Thanks,

Eric

I'm curious if anyone is having this issue with Premiere 2022 and Ventura. Is it just 2023?

I am running into this problem too. I just updated to Ventura a few days ago and Media Encoder crashes every time I try to process a large video file. I am on the latest version of Media Encoder and here is my "About this Mac"

You need to go back to your previous OS. It is a Ventura Problem and seems Apple and Adobe aren’t getting this problem figured out.

More info: working with a 2019 Macbook Pro 16in: OS 13.2

I have a Blackmagic EGPU plugged in for extra ram.

Editing a mix of Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro G2/Panasonic S1H/S5 footage.

Anything with Warp stablization won't export. Latest edits are completely freezing my system when attempting to export.

Have tried exporting in ProRes and H.264. No luck.

After 3 months, I'm having the same problem.

Laptop crashes for 1-3 minutes.
1 week ago there was a Ventura update to Ventura 13.1, but its still happening the same exact problems.

Maybe it crasshes after 1 minute or it crashes after 35 minutes working.
Even if its a new project or an old project.

Bad news with Ventura 13.2 (Sorry)

Just uploaded to Ventura 13.2, opened a Adobe Premier project and after trying to work with some 4k files, Laptop crashes like all the times this last 2 months has happened.

Laptop frooze for 2-3 minutes. After another minute, laptop just turned off and reset again.
Really don't know If this is APPLE problem or Adobe problem.
Ventura 13, Ventura 13.1 & Ventura 13.2 have crashed all times with Adobe Premier.

Not sure if there's any AdobePremier update comming soon, but still with same crash problems since the last 2 months, really frustrating to edit short-long videos and even more when you have short deadline dates.
