`Next/Previous Edit point on any track` gets stuck in Multi-Camera view

Contributor ,

When using the multi-camera view, using the `Go to Next/Previous Edit Point on Any Track` hotkey can get stuck almost within the multicam nest if the user has changes the camera multiple times without focusing another window, then refocusing the timeline.

I've attached a video showcasing this behaviour and it seems rather simple to replicate.

1. happens on 25.0 -> 25.3. Pretty sure this has been happening for years though, I know I experienced it as far back as 24.x releases
2. Windows 11
3. Setup a multicam nest with multiple camera layers within. Spam change the camera a few times (best way is to just hold 1 button for a few seconds). Attempt to use the hotkey. You will no longer be able to move outside the bounds of that clip. If you then press `Step back/forward 1 frame` the playhead will suddenly warp to where you would expect it to be even though visually it hasn't moved
4. Expected result is that the hotkey would continue to act like normal or as if you only adjust the camera once, and just keeps moving to new edit points. Instead it will get stuck and you will be unable to progress without first focusing another panel, then refocusing the timeline.

Hi @Tom_edit -  Thanks for submitting your bug report. We need a few more details to try to help with the issue.
Please see, How do I write a bug report?

What are your computer specs?

Can you try and hold down "SHIFT" while launching Premiere and check the boxes
"Reset app preferences" (Backup Preferences first)

Sorry for the frustration.

hey @jamieclarke

Win11 24H2 (26100.2605), Ryzen 9 9900X, 4070ti Super, as shown in the video I just used bars and tone to replicate the issue so it's not a media issue.

I just reset preferences and was able to instantly see the same behaviour.

Hi @Tom_edit - I can't reproduce this issue.  Can you provide reproducible steps where you see this issue?  It looks like you are having an issue as soon as you select the clip, is that right?  Do you see the issue when the clip is not selected?

Hi @jamieclarke sorry no that's not quite correct.

As I mentioned in my post, it's after you change camera tracks on a multicam nest multiple times (best way I've found to "force" the issue is to just hold down the hotkey to change cameras; ie. just holding 2. but I have had this happen while simply editing), then attempting to use the hotkey to move to prev/next edit point. Note that multicam view needs to be enabled for this issue to occur.

Not selecting a clip runs counter intuitively to the issue, as it happens /after/ changing cameras. I show an input display at the bottom of the screen recording.

Hi @Tom_edit - I see your issue.

1. Toggle Multi Cam mode

2. Hold down the Select Camera 2 shortcut key for 2 seconds.

3. Try using shortcut key for "Go To next/previous edit"

Results:

CTI Stuck, Go To Next/Previous Edit does not update in timeline.

Workaround:

Use Shortcut key go back or forward 1 frame.  CTI gets unstuck
