Playhead is stuttering

So my playhead is stuttering when i play the video. It used to work so perfectly but now its not.

I tried:

Downloading new graphics drivers

clearing out cache

uninstalling then reinstalling the whole program

and none of those worked

Now something worked which is unlocking the timeline, but i really prefer to keep it locked and even after unlocking it, it still lagged a bit.

My specs: Core i7 10700, RTX 4060Ti, 16 Gb of ram. Windows 11

I don't use heavy footage, just some 1080p 60 FPS gameplay that i capture with xbox game bar. I've been doing this for a year and a half now. and i've been using Premiere pro 2025 since it came out and i've countered no problems like that.

Please use the free MediaInfo and post a screenshot of the properties of your media in tree view:

Many users are having issues with VFR. If the file is variable frame rate, use Handbrake to convert to constant frame rate before importing into Premiere Pro:
https://handbrake.fr/downloads.php
Here is a tutorial:

Shutter Encoder may also be used to convert to Constant Frame Rate:

Try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.
