Since update of Premiere 2020 3 days ago to 14.0.2 I cannot open a project (or create a new project) with .mov files that worked 4 days ago in 2020. Thankfully I still have Premiere 2019 which works fine with them. Anyone have a solution or similar problem?
Sorry for the back and forth skipperadam, but thank you for the indepth information and sample clip. As you have noted, 14.2 unfortunately does not have the fix for your supplied clip, but there was a recent fix in 14.3 Beta that should address this clip (it was also verified to address other Zoom clips we have in house). I verified that 14.3 Beta build 19 (latest posted to Creative Cloud) was once again able to successfully import your clip.

There is an update: 14.2
but before you open a project.

It was 14.2 I tried and I always delete the media cache files. Thanks anyway.

I see that it's checked but I have no option to "uncheck" or at least that I can find.

Thanks for keeping us updated skipperadam. I don't intend to install and uninstall each new version so you efforts are appreciated. I too made their tech support aware of the problem but their system for getting this issue resolved isn't getting the job done. Perhaps there aren't enough squeaking wheels.

(after deleting Media Cache) Please feel free to try other problematic clips with 14.3 Beta build 19+. If you (or anyone else on this thread) finds any clips that still fail to import in the latest 14.3 Beta, please let us know how the clips were created, if they ever worked in Premiere Pro and provide us with sample clip(s). The sample clips really help and are greatly appreciated!
Thank you.

Delighted, Trent, to report that the beta 14.3 I installed (Build 19 "Magician" was what I had in Creative Cloud's beta section) DOES open the file that only 14.0.1 opened before. I'm not sure what may be "missing" in a beta version, if anything but as I'm not in production at present I'll keep the beta version installed until a production version comes out. Thanks for pointing me in that direction and I'm glad I could help.

14.2.0 - Build 47.
Tried deleting cache. Tried reinstalling Pr. Tried altering Graphics card options. Tried following the hopeless file folder renaming suggestions...Nope, Nope, Nope and Nope.
Sorta upset I have to go thru all this. Just bought the whole Creative Suite thing to use with my Zoom Q2n. As mentioned above - works like a charm on Camtasia, Movavi. Seems like this is a really important basic capability.
Can't this be fixed?

Hi, It's the Skipper and I'm NOT from Adobe. I felt your pain through every shipping version since 14.0.1. I hope you saw that the 14.3 in the "Beta" section of Creative Cloud solved my Zoom Q8 video file problem. I would suggest giving that a try as it looks like you did 14.2 and it didn't work for me either. I'm not "in production" now and so am not rolling through the incoming revisions of 14.3 beta. When I see it on the production section for Premiere Pro I'll do another remove and reinstall (and it's always prudent, before opening a file with any new version of PrPro to remove the media cache. Hope it helps you as it did me.

Ok. Still didnt work.
Cleared cache again.Nope.
Confused by all of the versions being tossed around.
When I go to Help - About PP... This says Version 14.2.0 (Build 47). Below that its says A.P.P. 14.0 Magician
When I go to Creative cloud - Select "Other versions" - It shows P.P. Beta 14.3
Appreciate everyones help.

I'll share what worked for me.
I see in yours above that the version was 14.2 and that wouldn't work for me. Had to be a 14.3 in the Help-About screen. If you don't see that something has gone amiss in the steps 1 through 5 above.
Hope it helps.

Stushader, if the steps skipperadam provided still don't allow your clips to import in Premiere Pro 14.3 Beta, please let us know and provide some sample clip(s). This will help our developer's investigation.
Thank you.
