2018.1.2 - still has audio glitches

Advisor ,
Jul 26, 2018 Jul 26, 2018

Relates to using submixes / multichannel sequences & dynamics/de-esser/compressors fed from tracks without audio.

Audio glitches/noise appear mainly on A3&4 and A7&8 on an 8 channel sequence. They are present on an export from PP but not apparent on an export queued via AME

I hope you also filed this on the UserVoice system, so it gets right to the team ...

Reliably recreated in fresh 2018.1.2 project -

Create sequence from DNX SQ preset - change last track to be mono submix

Add Color matt about 2:00 so seq will play silent tracks

Add small amount of bars & tone at top of seq

Use send bus to send track 1 to submix 1 (leave send volume at - infinity)

Add a de-esser plug-in to the submix bus

Play sequence and observe feedback on Right output (you may have to play some of the tone first)

Link to project with sequences demonstrating this:

They've released their "preview" at IBC last weekend. That would indicate we're getting close to the next release 'drop' but no one, not even the Shadow knows when that will be. "Soon" ... something-ish. Typically a full preview release is no more than six weeks from release, sometimes days. No clue. But I hope this is among many things fixed.

Here’s hoping. But they haven’t marked any of the bug reports as ‘under review’

Also seems to occur when Loudness Radar added to master bus on multichannel sequence.

That's a royal rip ... radar being such a necessary thing. I've not seen that here, so ... wonder what the "thang" is that triggers that?

Hi Trevor_Asq,

Thank you very much for pointing out this anomaly. I verified that there is a bug written against this issue and it is slated for a fix in an upcoming version. I will see if I can get the team to mark the User Voice site, "under review," as you'd expect, however, this might be delayed as everyone is still returning home from the IBC conference. Rest assured, though, that this problem is being worked on.

Very sorry for the inconvenience and frustration.

Thanks,
Kevin
