I have source video with 4 channels of audio. I need channel 1 to go audio layer 3 when I overwrite edit. I only get channel 3 to layer 3. Channel 3 is useless garbage. How to get my main audio on the correct layer?

I'm having to guess you mean audio track three, not layer three?

So, what is your track targeting setup to be? You do control that of course as the user.

Next, what did you do if anything to modify the audio of that file in the bin? As you can set which audio from the file goes where there. Or is ignored.

That's right-click/Modify/Intepret Footage/Audio I believe. You get a big dialog, and can reset the audio there.

Yea, that can take a bit of fiddling to get figured out what ... doing what ... ends up doing. Been there done that!

Glad you got going though.
