A low-level exception occured in : Adobe Player (Player:5)

Bonjour,

Ed

Sorry for the wait. Premiere Pro 14.2 has just shipped and contains the fix for legacy Titles with GPU Renderer.

Thank you for the guidance.  Started happening for me two updates ago.  Message now refers to Player 6 rather than 5.

The work around is working but that means that you can't use any GPU renderer for legacy project. It impacts very badly the performance for large/complex video...

2 questions to AdobeSupport :

- When the 14.2 will be avialabe ? (when = a date)

- For new project from scratch can we use the GPU ?

Many thanks for your reply.

I have the same problem with Adobe Premiere Pro 2020 since yesterday (April 15th 2020)

Apologies. This is an issue with legacy Titles that is being worked on (should already be fixed in 14.2 Beta). Until then, a workaround is to use Software Rendering (File menu > Project Settings > General > Video Rendering and Playback > Mercury Playback Engine Software Only)

I have the same problem just after download of the new version of Adobe Premiere Pro  to-day from Adobe Creative Cloud.

I have and NVIDA GTX960 video card and have installed the latest driver 445.75.

It occurs with all my projects. Yellow screen on monitor , also after rendering project from In to Out.

So my work is completely blocked now

In Premiere Pro 14.1, you can use Software Only Renderer to work around this issue (see post below). You can also choose to install the previous 14.x version (14.0.4) if you need to continue using GPU Renderer.

Neither of these solutions worked for me. Dell XPS 15, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050.

Ed, which Adobe software title are you using?  I am not familiar with Adobe Player.  Are you referring to Adobe Flash Player?

Probably... It's written like that in Premier Pro Adobe Player (Player:5) ----> it might be adobe flash player so I install it, and its better now but all my work on effects (opacity) had changed 😞

Ok, thanks, Ed. I will move this discussion to the Premiere Pro forum.
