Adding subtitle in Premiere Pro

Hi there,

I'm trying to add subtitle (Japanese) on the video with importing an existent SRT file in Premiere Pro.

I managed to import the file however, the caption looks encrypted and can't great them.

If you refer to the image above, the text turned out "*****".

I've changed the font enable to display Japanese but still the same.

Has anyone have any idea, would be much appreciated.

Environment:

• Premiere Pro 2018
• Mac
