How come that Premiere Pro 24.0.0 with Ventura 13.6 on an iMac 3,8 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9
with a Eadeon Pro Vega 48 8 GB
and 32 GB RAM
is still laggy in working on the timeline, highlighting clips, modifying kerframes, locking tracks. All basic things. It very often works with a slight delay which reminds me of the slow computers of the 90's.....
Try to launch with the Shift key pressed. From the Reset Options dialog box, reset preferences and delete all media cache. Let us know what happens after trying this.
Thanks,
Kevin

i dont know what they did but premiere pro as a whole is simply not working properly at the moment. i cant get into any project witthout premiere crashing, downgrading to older versions doesnt fix it. all my projects are broken now. even when i start premiere without a project it says "premiere is running on low system memory" and "importer39 failed to load" none of these error codes happend before for the last year and since the update everytrhing is broken. the newest major update wich came today doesnt fix anything. if you scroll through the forum you will find a lot of people with perfomance and stabilty issues right now. this has to be fixed asap

Editing in Premiere Pro is my main source of income, and this is simply unacceptable for being a subscription based service. Videos that took me 4h to edit now take me 8-10 hours. It's driving me crazy, cause it's not like I can just extend my workday to 16 hours a day to learn a new editing software, re-make all my presets, reinstall all of my plugins and spend another 1k to even get to the point where I can start to edit. I'm basically making half of the money I was making before.
PLEASE FIX ADOBE

After two updates from Adobe promising responsiveness that is 'five times faster' and 'smoother trimming', nothing has improved... when will Adobe fix it?

Your advice did not help, unfortunately...
