Adobe Premiere Pro Playback issues with Windows 11

So my PC laptop recently updated to Windows 11. After the update I started having playback issues with audio lagging in Premiere Pro. It didn't matter whether I was playing clips in the source monitor or timeline. It would play at rapid pace (like x2 speed) and drop frames for about 1-2 seconds and then start to play normal. Everytime!! I tried clearing cache, updating drivers, changing preview codecs and nothing would work. However I discovered the way to fix the issue is to change the Audio Hardware Input to No Input. In Premiere, Go to Preferences>Audio Hardware. Change the first dropdown, the default input to No Input. Not sure if this bug or issue has been reported and I'm also not sure what changing to No Input will change for other features.
